Meet Our Chandler, AZ Dentists - Cosmetic and Restorative Dentists at Provinces Dental
David C. Poelman, DDS: Owner & Dentist
A graduate of the University of Utah with a degree in Medical Biology, Dr. David Poelman earned his DDS from Case Western Reserve University in 2002. That same year, he opened The Provinces Dental. Dave has completed specialized training in implants, full mouth restoration, cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics. A member of the Spear Faculty Club, he continues his education at a rate far greater than that required for his licensure.
Additionally, Dr. David Poelman has been elected a Phoenix Magazine Top Dentist in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2016 by his dental peers, and has been the top vote recipient in his category. As you may be aware, only licensed Valley dentists in good standing can vote in the Phoenix Magazine Top Dentist survey. Our entire office is very proud of this honor!
David Poelman is compassionate professional, meticulous and gentle in his care for his patients. He served a two-year mission in Seville, Spain, and is active as a member and a volunteer in his church, professional, and non-profit organizations. He serves regular dental missions over the past few years in Africa and the Dominican Republic. He and his wife, Natalie, have five beautiful children, and reside in Gilbert.
Dave finds chips and salsa nearly irresistible, and can be bribed with a peach milkshake from Chik-Fil-A. You can find him spending time with his family, and is a master backyard-chicken-keeper!
Jonathan F. Bergloff, DMD: Owner & Dentist
Jonathan Bergloff, DMD (or Dr B, as we call him!) was raised in scenic New Mexico, where he graduated with honors from New Mexico State University in 1999 with a major in Chemistry and minors in Music and Biochemistry.
He continued his studies at the Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia from 2000 through 2004. Dr. Bergloff graduated from Temple with honors and in the top 10 of his class, earning him membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
Dr Bergloff joined The Provinces Dental team in 2005, where his gentle & welcoming personality combines with his unyielding dental precision to make him a favorite among many patients. He continues to actively engage in far more continuing education than is required for his dental license, and is a member of the Spear Faculty Club.
Interestingly, Dr B met his wife, Dr. Ruth Chau-Bergloff, at church while both were attending Temple University dental school. Jon & Ruth serve regular dental and medical missions in the Dominican Republic with Food For The Hungry, bringing dentistry and health care to people that have no access to it. Jon is a musician, proficient in multiple instruments. He plays electric guitar and trombone in the worship team at his church. Jon and Ruth are the proud parents of two sons, along with several comical pets. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing and watching sports and video games, and coaching his boys' sports.
Ruth Chau-Bergloff, DMD: Dentist
Dr. Chau-Bergloff was born and raised in historic Lancaster County, PA. She attended Penn State University and received a B.S. in Biology and minors in Psychology and Economics. She then moved to Philadelphia to attend Temple University, earning her DMD in 2005.
Ruth actively pursues extensive continuing education at the Spear Institute, where she is a Faculty Club Member, and is dedicated to perfecting her skills as a dentist and to providing excellent care for her patients. Married to Dr. Jon Bergloff, Ruth enjoys working with her husband at Provinces Dental Care and having fun with their two sons at home.
Ruth is an active member of her church where she plays bass guitar and flute on the worship team, is part of the volleyball team, and teaches children's ministry. Ruth has a passion for serving others. She and her husband take time out of the office every year to be a part of a medical mission team and travel to other other countries to help people who have no access to care. In her free time, she enjoys knitting and crocheting, cheering her kids on at their sporting events, going to concerts, cooking, and traveling (preferably to places where there's a beach).
Dr Ruth has also joined the ranks of Phoenix Magazine's Top Dentists. Her peers, practicing Valley dentists, have decided that she is one of the best, and we are so proud of her!
