Restorative
We are first and foremost restorative dentists.
Restorative dentistry is the art and science of renovating your teeth to their best condition. We’re first and foremost restorative dentists, able to diagnose and treat all dental conditions that might exist in your mouth, bringing your teeth back to their original healthy condition We want to make sure your teeth work for you the way they should.
All of our dentists are gentle and attentive, using high quality local anesthesia to numb your teeth and the surrounding structures when necessary to make dental procedures as comfortable as possible. We also use the latest and most respected materials, with no silver or dental amalgams in fillings. Enjoy natural tooth-colored composite fillings that are both esthetic and long-lasting without bio-incompatible ingredients.
Fillings:
Fillings are required when tooth structure has been destroyed by bacterial infection, commonly referred to as a cavity, or when an existing filling becomes defective. This might be caused by cracking or leaking of silver or tooth-colored fillings, thus leading to new decay. During this procedure, mild local anesthesia is administered and the decayed tooth structure is removed in its entirety. The resulting space left after cavity removal is then replaced with an esthetic composite resin filling that functions in the same manner as the original tooth.
Crowns:
A crown is a restoration required when the original tooth structure is too compromised for repair using the standard filling procedure. Covering your old tooth, the crown holds its structure together and makes it stronger. It looks and functions just like the original tooth. Crowns can also be used to promote optimal functioning following a root canal, surface cracking or breakage. Our dentists are experts at preparing your teeth for crowns. Employing only the best techniques, this procedure is both convenient and expedient.
Bridges:
Bridges are specialized restorations replacing the tooth or teeth missing between two or more existing teeth. During this procedure, the adjacent tooth or teeth are carefully prepared for crowns. After impressions are made, our lab fabricates a bridge that covers and connects the adjacent teeth, subsequently replacing the gap with a new tooth that sits just above the gingival, or more commonly referred to as a pontic. Because of the advanced tooth implant technology available today, many patients now have the option of replacing a tooth with a single implant rather than opting for multiple teeth to create a viable bridge.
Inlays and Onlays:
Inlays and Onlays are restorations frequently used when the tooth structure is too compromised for the successful administration of a filling but still strong enough to circumvent the need for a crown. For the patient, this procedure is nearly identical to that for a crown, offering attractive, long-lasting results.
